So I decided to play around with shooting into the sun. What it produced was a beautiful lens glare…and in some cases it almost looked like fire! Usually shooting into the sun produces silhouettes. By changing my metering mode to “Spot,” I was able to focus the camera exposure on one subject of the photo rather than the whole photo. I love this effect. It perfectly captures late September.
