Watches: A Must-Have Fashion Accessory

Guys, I have a confession.25

I’m often…late. Or if it’s a good morning, running exactly on time.

Most people set their clocks fast to ensure they get ready on time—right? Well not this girl. I have come to the awful realization that the clock in my bathroom is *gasp* slow! I do not know how this escaped my notice for multiple months, but it explains a lot. I didn’t think walks from the bathroom to my closet took five minutes! (And in morning time, five minutes is everything.)

I got home from work Monday evening and took time in my own hands (literally….hehe). I set my bathroom clock ahead of the actual, real-world time on my Verizon Apple iPhone (which obviously has to be correct).

I also took it one step further and bought a watch. Yep, that’s right. I definitely did. I haven’t worn a watch for years (unless you count a running watch). But watches can be pretty chic and very easy to incorporate into my accessories. I even wore my watch to work on Monday and was so focused on the styling that I had it upside down all morning.

I have to admit it’s kind of fun being able to check the time on my wrist rather than digging through a purse to find my phone.

I’m a fan and it matches almost everything!

24WATCH: I went with a chunky silver piece I found at Kohl’s for only $14.99. If you want a good deal (plus 30% off coupons) hit up Kohl’s. I like this strong statement watch. It’s just simple enough it can easily mesh with multiple outfits.

RINGS: I’ve been meaning to pick up a bunch of simple rings for quite some time now. I’ve been trying to get more into jewelry (it’s the easiest way to switch up an outfit). This LC Lauren Conrad textured ring stack ($12) is another simple yet strong jewelry piece to match several outfits.

SHOES: It’s no secret to anyone that knows me that I am a huge shoes fan–especially heels. I am really glad I decided to buy these chunky (seems to be the theme of these accessories) lace-up heeled shoes. They’re the perfect combination of formal and casual. I’ve worn them for a wedding and then a slightly dressed down work look, which I have pictured. These shoes are $44 at Maurices and also come in black.

Do I look like Rosie the Riveter? I didn’t do this intentionally, but hey, it’s kind of cool!
